While we were trying to keep costs down during this trip, we definitely had to splurge on a few things. Aquarium of the Bay seemed too good to pass up, and we were actually pleasantly surprised at the cost. Just $16.95 for Adults and $8 for children 3-11 – in my experience, places like this tend to be at least double that. So we were thrilled!
And it did not disappoint. We had SO much fun and the kids LOVED seeing all the fish, sharks, and other ocean life. We got to touch sting rays and star fish, watch jelly fish, learn some fun facts, and more. When (not IF!!) we make our way back to San Francisco I will definitely go again and I know the kids would want to as well. I loved that it wasn’t just a few fish tanks, but huge aquariums, tanks, and interactive stations. It wasn’t just one level but three and there was no shortage of things to see.
A definite must see if you are ever on Pier 39. And just so you can see for yourself – here are some photos! (But trust me, it’s WAY better in real life, even if you have an amazing photographer as your travel companion)
