Today’s activity was fairly simple, but also really fun. And in all honesty, I don’t bring the paints out nearly enough. The original instructions on Attack of the Twins {via Pinterest} suggests finger painting, but we stuck with brushes today. Though it would be a really great summertime playgroup idea {tucking away}.…
After repainting the front room and kitchen, and updating the baseboards and trim, I have a lovely little spot that I look at repeatedly from my *post* on the couch {where I blog}. I love it….I love the wall colours and the way they compliment each other. This corner is my FAVORITE {and I LOVE the dark grey in the front room. LOVE it!}…
I was really excited about today’s activity – I sort of had to choose it by default as I’m missing some key ingredients for some of the other projects I have planned. But I’m really glad it worked out this way! I also already blogged about this during Easter week, but now get to give my personal review instead of just thinking it looked neat. lol…
It can sure be a juggling act sometimes – kids, self, husband, home, friends, and of course blogging. How do we fit it all in and still feel like we are giving our best? And really, it’s my husband and kids who need that best the most {one reason I love traveling so much}. One bag was left behind…contacts, solution, glasses, deodorant, makeup, brush, Brent’s shaving stuff {not that he shaves much on holidays}, and more…. And when we arrived home there it was, right where I left it. #ohthatmakesmemad…
I Believe In Holidays {And Was Born For It}
I felt pretty lucky growing up – it’s not like we took an insane amount of holidays but we did get to enjoy a few great ones and some fun getaways. Perhaps that’s where my love for them started. My parents owned their own business, and as such it was not a typical 9-5 work day. My dad worked in the field {finishing carpenter} from 6am-6pm 6 days a week and then came home to the in-house office to finish…
Is it possible??? I’m so not a flash card mom, or someone who sits and tries to grill my kids into learning…but I do like the idea of encouraging the *interest* in learning with fun activities. This particular one also came from Pinterest, but the original post can be found on Juggling With Kids. I can’t wait to do this with both our kids, but particularly our son with his letters. He loves cars and loves letters, so I anticipate…
