We’ve all been there….no matter how much you overpack there is always a need at least once, to do some laundry. So what do you do? You could buy some, though if you’re at a resort somewhere, it’s likely to be more costly than normal. You could pack some, but if you’re like me you feel like you need to double, maybe triple bag for fear of it breaking open and wreaking havoc with the clothes. Or I suppose, worst…
Anyone who knows me knows I love to shop online – some would say it’s a bit of an addiction 😉 So it shouldn’t be any surprise that with our upcoming vacation, I’ve been scouring the *world wide web* for a new swimsuit to sport on the beach! I’ve looked at several sites, but seem to keep coming back to Hapari. Their site is easy to navigate, has something for everyone (including men), and the swimsuits are so affordable…..and sooooo…
CAN THEY EVER!!! I am SO happy to have been directed to this fantastic blog. Mennonite Girls Can Cook is a collaboration of 8 fabulous Mennonite Girls/Women, Ellen, Lovella, Judy, Betty, Annaleise, Marg, Julie, and Bev, all sharing their love (and passion I can see) for recipes, hospitality, relationships, encouragement and helping the hungry. This is the blog for me! I literally spend 90% of my day in the kitchen. I LOVE trying new recipes, entertaining friends, and just plain…
I love that more and more restaurants are adding things to their menus to cater to those with gluten allergies. It’s making this experiment more exciting and easier for those times when I’m out. Last week I ordered in Little Caesar’s for the kids (cheap) so our sitter wouldn’t have to worry about anything while we were out. Now let me tell you this – going Gluten Free has been the easiest dietary change I’ve made by far. But takeout pizza…
But microwave always seems to fall a little short. We have eaten it for a long time because our popcorn popper isn’t good at all and we’ve never made it a priority to buy one. Besides, I try not to eat it too often because I love LOTS of butter and seasoning. So what once could have been classified as a healthy snack jumps itself right back into the *rarely* category. My friend has this fantastic popper, so when I…
While our kids wanted to go back to Kangaroo Zoo, we really thought we’d try something else being it was our last day there. We ended up at Trafalga in Lehi. Now I’ll admit to being really tempted to leave when we first arrived….they were in the middle of construction and it was loud and not visually appealing. And with the weather not as warm as they like some of the rides weren’t running. But we decided to make do…
I’ve been wanting to blog about this trip for so long….I realize now that I should have been blogging the entire time and saving as drafts so I could just add photos when I got home. Lesson learned! But here we go. A recap – in November my cousin and I, and our 3 kids took 3 fabulous weeks to enjoy California! And enjoy it we did! It was fantastic….we did a TON of driving but also got to see…
Looking for a great place to buy the perfect character themed gift? I was on the lookout for something perfect for my cousin’s little guy who just turned 3 and is OBSESSED with Thomas the Tank Engine. OBSESSED!!! I had something else in mind but it wasn’t in at the store, so I started searching. Sometimes things really do happen the way they are supposed to. Knowing how obsessed he is with trains and how useful it is to be…
Do you ever feel lost at the cosmetics counter and been overwhelmed with all the brands, products, not to mention the prices (does more really mean better)? Do you ever wonder if the staff are giving you what they think you want to hear or if they genuinely KNOW what they are talking about? I sure do….well that is about to change – enter Faces by Olive makeup artist, Sarah Jean! Sarah Jean is an award winning and published makeup…
Oh it’s true. And it was seriously the best campground I’ve been to in a long time. They have thought of everything….a fabulous beach (we spent our days there), playgrounds, go carts you can rent and ride around (pedal ones), ice cream shops, a little restaurant, a small train ride for the kids, and more (like mini golf and paddle boats). I went with 4 cousins and 1 friend (affectionately *the import* lol) and NO husbands. Between us we had…
