Okay, the truth is – all in all, I LOVE the Zoo. So the experience all around is great. Seeing animals we wouldn’t likely see otherwise is always a special treat, particularly when they indulge us and do more than just lay around. lol But I have to admit, there were a few {only a few} things that I noticed that sort of fall under *The Bad* cateogory {Read about The Good HERE}. Wonder what they are?…
While on a recent trip to Calgary for some training Brent had, the kids and I spent one of the days at The Calgary Zoo. A favorite place of mine since I was a child, though I haven’t been since Brooklyn was about 9 months old. Every year I plan to take the kids, and every year goes by without making it happen. But now we’ve done it. And it was awesome. I admit, there is an element of me…
Well we did it – we got to see the Penguins. Thanks to a recent business/training trip in Calgary {for Brent}, me and the kids had a great time playing all day. The Zoo was a must on our list and it did not disappoint {except the sort of lame Canadian Wild section which not only has arguably the most boring animals but also the most amount of walking}. We waited in line about 15 minutes and were then ushered…
It’s Dance Recital Week…..arguably the busiest week of the year for me. It started tonight with Jonah’s preschool concert {last one ever}, and continues with dress rehearsals for dance Tuesday and Wednesday, and follows up with performances Thursday night, Friday night, Saturday afternoon, and Saturday night. I also have a baby shower to attend thursday night and another I am helping plan for Sunday afternoon. Busy but super exciting week. As a result, my blogging will be minimal…but instead of…

You might remember THIS post where I talked {for the hundredth time lol} about how much I love holidays – and why. And how I really love the idea of putting them as one of our family and financial priorities, instead of on THINGS. STUFF. But, there are some companies out there whose products I LOVE and think are must-haves and really help facilitate some amazing memories. Because, let’s face it, we can’t holiday ALL the time {bummer}.…
Sitting in the condo over Easter break, enjoying some RnR after a fun and busy day of shopping and swimming, a commercial came on. We all snickered a little at the kid versions of popular hit songs – while our kids immediately began singing along and moving to the beat. And every time the commercial came on we were met with serious begging to purchase the product. Little did my kids know that I had one coming for review.…
It can sure be a juggling act sometimes – kids, self, husband, home, friends, and of course blogging. How do we fit it all in and still feel like we are giving our best? And really, it’s my husband and kids who need that best the most {one reason I love traveling so much}. Over the past 9 months or so I’ve really been thinking a lot about the time with my kids, Jonah in particular because he is the…
