Several trips to the beach, a week long trip to Drayton Valley {took 7 hours the way there and 8 on the way home}, a weekend camping trip an hour away, and several other daily errands and activities… And Kidz Bop 22 has been there every step of the way.…
Dreaming Of Myrtle Beach {With RedWeek}
Years ago my best friend and I happened upon a gem of a movie called Shag {any UK readers out there are probably snickering or gasping silently at the title lol}. The movie takes place in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where the main characters take a girls trip to have one last *hurrah* before one of them gets married. We were young teenagers, always looking for the strangest, never heard of before movies {Strictly Ballroom anyone??…random fact – the director…
It’s no secret I love to holiday….and often spend time online pricing out fantasy vacations and getaways. It might be a wee addiction, but I have no intentions of quitting. It is seriously SO much fun {not quite as fun as actually GOING on the holidays, but a close second}. And Redweek has only fueled the passion and given me so many more ideas and options.…
I start anticipating the last day of school, on the first day of school. While I don’t mind having some routine and certainly enjoy some of the quiet times, I love the summer months of freedom….having both kids home all day, every day and the option of doing WHATEVER we want, WHENEVER we want to. Being in Canada means of our 8 weeks of summer holidays, usually only about 4-5 of them are actually SUMMER weather. So we need to…
I have a few review posts coming – but we are having so much fun enjoying the summer sun, I haven’t made the time yet. They are coming though – and some other really fun posts are also on their way. In the meantime though, here are a few of the memories we are making: What fun things are you doing to create memories this summer? …
Making Memories EVERY Day {#Free #Activitiesforkids}
One thing I’ve really started focusing on is putting the effort in to making memories. Making the conscious effort to create them EVERY day. It doesn’t have to be big things all the time like Disneyland or Beach Vacations, though those are obviously wonderful, but little things in the every day and making the time to BE together – enjoying and learning together. I mean, we’ve always made memories and spent time together, and LOVED it. But it’s been a…
Jonah and I had a fun opportunity to head out with a friend and her kids to her in laws farm Wednesday morning. It was a relatively quick trip, with most of the time spent in the vehicle, but it was so worth it. Even just the short hour {at most} spent at the farm, in some mild rain, made the day perfect. Because we made memories!…
You might remember my recent posts about our little wasp friend {here and here}. We set up a lovely home in a large jar we have, filling it with twigs and leaves, etc. Reading online that wasps typically feed on caterpillars and other insects {though I have since learned the adult paper wasps eat nectar and feed their young with the caterpillars…good to know}, and not having caterpillars in our backyard at the time {we now have SEVERAL} I decided…
