I love making homemade cakes for our kids birthdays…though it seems that every other year they flop (oh there’ve been some doozies lol). I think my biggest problem in those years is overdoing the expectation. What I see in my head doesn’t always transfer well to the *cake canvas*. On Pinterest I’ve found a number of fantastic cakes that I’m certain would result in the same issue if I attempted them, but I love them all the same…and call me crazy, may be contemplating. haha
