You can tell the weather is turning – I’ve been a cooking machine! There are few things I love as much as having a hot home-cooked meal ready when Brent comes home from work. Call me old fashioned, but it just makes me happy.
My sister in law always does the Turkey for Christmas, etc. and it’s always amazing. So when I made some roast chicken the other night I knew I wanted to do it the same – so I googled and found a comparable recipe, which no surprise came from allrecipes (I should get commission or something lol).
Here is what I did:
**I cooked two chickens so I double the recipe below to make enough gravy**
- 2 cups water
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 3/4 cup orange juice
- 2 Tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon chicken bouillon granules
- 1 teaspoon dried minced onion
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Baste every 20-30 minutes – makes the most moist and delicious turkey…and the gravy – best I’ve EVER had!
