Okay, so it wasn’t that long ago that I posted about Brent winning 2 free tickets anywhere West Jet flies. We did find a week that we thought would work and decided we’d take the opportunity to spend it at Paradise Village, celebrating our {10th} anniversary where we honeymooned almost exactly 10 years ago. {We honeymooned 6 months after our wedding. Best. Decision. Ever.}
I was working through the idea of not taking our kids, and was actually starting to get excited about the trip. The kids, although bummed to not be coming, understood and were excited about the prospect of saving and planning one as a family. And I realized I wanted to wear a bikini again.
So something has to change.
Going Vegan? I can talk all I want about it, but it’s just not going to happen. I’m not committed enough to the lifestyle and honestly enjoy meat and cheese as part of my diet.
Going Vegetarian? I could honestly be 80% vegetarian, but find myself not fully committed to making it a serious way of life, so it never flies.
Going Gluten Free? BINGO. I’ve gone gluten free before and had great success, not only in how I looked but how I felt. And quickly too.
It’s like a light switch went off – I just stopped eating it. For 6 days now I’ve been making food choices reflective of this and I’m already feeling better. I’ll also be adding in some workouts of course, but this is the first step.
Now, we aren’t likely going on a beach vacay like we had planned because Brent can’t get that week off {the ONE week we had to work with}, so it may end up being a San Francisco weekend after all. But I’m still motivated…it’s high time I got my act together and made choices to be my best self.
While I don’t believe in comparing ourselves to others – we really are shaped differently – here are some photos I have pinned on my Beach Body Motivation board. It’s not about comparing – it’s about inspiring….
repeat this cycle 2x right when you wake up in the morning 🙂 50 jumping jacks, 5 pushups, 20 sit ups, 20 mountain climbers, 30 second plank, 7 burpees. total body. (interesting)…before your brain realizes what you are doing.
Proof that squats have their place!
Here is Jessica Simpson’s Daisy Dukes workout routine.
One of life’s injustices if you ask me 😉
I mean, how cute is her beach body!
I love her figure! Curves in all the best ways!
Ooo la la! I don’t know that I’ll ever surf {scared of sharks}, but I might just carry a board for the impact!
Yah, yah, yah! 😉
Yep, sign me up for those beauties! Carrie Underwood’s amazing leg workout is a must do!
Love her shape and love the suit! Beautiful!
Yep, yep, and yep!
And because this completely motivates me {still in theory – I am currently sitting on the couch}:
So, what’s your excuse again?
