Rainy weather…

This kind of weather makes me think of family time, spent hunkered in all cozy warm, while watching the blistery weather through the windows. I think of hours spent playing games, making (and eating) yummy meals and snacks, watching movies with popcorn, and, crafting and sewing.

My sewing basket has a few batches of fabric ready to be made into something wonderful, and I can’t wait to get to it.

First up on my list is the 3rd and last (for now) patchwork skirt for Brooklyn, made out of this lovely fabric bundle from fabriccloset.

I use the Pink Fig Patchwork Skirt Pattern and love it. I’m not an excellent sewer by any means, but this pattern is easy to follow and allows for some error. So, if you too aren’t an excellent sewer, but want to try something new, I highly recommend this pattern.

I am so excited to get this done, plus some other projects, including ties for Jonah, a skirt for me, and some aprons for Brooklyn (and some matching skirts for the American Girl doll she is buying for her birthday!!!) 🙂
